We are a local Brownie pack based in Warley Hill and we are looking for someone to come along to do a storytelling night and wondered if you could help us with that?
The date would be 25th November. We meet between 6 and 7.30pm.
    Many thanks for your help

  4. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance.
I must say you’ve done a superb job with this.

In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Chrome.

    Superb Blog!

  5. I have to thank you for the efforts yyou have put in writing this blog.

I really hope to view thhe same high-grade content by you later on as well.
In truth, your creative writing abilities has inspired
me tto get my own, personal blog now ;)

Hello I write children’s books and one of them is called froggy and Chicky I haven’t got them published but I was wondering if you knew any publishers for children’s books and if I got them published if you would be interested in salling them at your store…thank you for your time.

    • There are hundreds of children’s publishers out there, but many won’t look at a manuscript without an agent. I know that Nosy Crow are an exception to this. I couldn’t say whether we would stock your book before seeing it for myself. Good luck!

Just watching the amazon program on bbc2. It scares me regarding the statistic for bookshops! Could you please let me know when you do the story time? I know my kids would love it!

    Thank you

    • We don’t have set story times, apart from on a Saturday at 9:45. Other than that, you can pop in for a story whenever you’re in town. Don’t worry, we’re bucking the trend. Amazon won’t beat us!

my son is in year 10 and brentwood county high school, im am enquiring about your tuition sessions for English for him in the run up to his gcse’s.
What times, days and prices are your tuition sessions?

    • Hi, we have a class that runs on a Wednesday at 17:50 – 18:40 which would be ideal for your son. We charge £15 a session and require payment a week in advance. If you have any further questions or wish to book him in please let us know.

Bought some Elmer goodies (including Elmer soft toy!) for my nephew’s birthday presents… my sister loved them! I’m going to be coming back for more Elmer things, as I’m trying to convince her to theme his bedroom!! Lovely friendly service at Chicken and Frog – keep up the great work (and the teacher discounts!!)

I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other
    then that, great blog!

    • Sorry you’re having problems. I’ll take a look, but we use some default WordPress templates so I’m not sure there is anything that can be done about it.

You gave me a poster for our notice board but it has no contact details on it just the shop name. It might be good to put your telephone number on. Keep up the good work. Lynn

    • Sorry about that, we realised after we’d given it out. I’ve made a new one which I’ll email to you. We don’t have a phone number yet, BT will be (hopefully) sorting it out for us on the 16th November
